admin > config > submit > html tags to allow. It only takes effect for stories. Not comments.

I set up right ?

HTML tags to allow
description: leave blank to not allow tags. Example is '< b >< br >< font >< img >< p >' (without spaces)
value: < b >< br >< font >< img >< p >
default value:
expected values: HTML tags

I think this is a question which may cause a little confusion, at least to me:

I have turned on the html tag as followings:
value: <b><br><font><img><p><a>
default value:
expected values: HTML tags

But the way it works seems like "It takes effect for comment, not story":

http://www.bizdiggers.com/story.php?...new-411-Google
See the Comment of this link: although it dispalyed " HTML is disabled", but it actually does allow user to enter the html address in the comment.

http://www.bizdiggers.com/story.php?...Phone-Standard
In this example though, the html address is Not Active in the story submit section (see the end of the story description).

Do I understand it correctly?

Thanks

Please clarify.
Am I correct on this or KB's statement above (It only takes effect for stories. Not comments.) is correct?

the html allowed for stories is not allowed for comments also. I just tested this with img code and the image does not show up in comments.

I typed out a few urls without using the <a> tag and the one with http:// showed up as a hyperlink (the browser probably rendered it).

I also tried one with <a href> and it didn't show as a hyperlink.

Thanks, KB.
Is there any way the Story section allow to have the Active URL address, i.e., when I enter the URL there, then I can click on it to get to that place:

http://www.bizdiggers.com/story.php?...Phone-Standard
In this example though, the URL address is Not Active in the story submit section (see the end of the story description: http://biz.yahoo.com/bizwk/070319/ma...7183.html?.v=1 is not active).

HM, I am lost, as I look for a way to allow HTML in comments.
How do I do that?
