| This is already into the core of Pligg 9.9 - so there will be no use of this thread anymore I guess. |
Does anybody have instructions to get this to work on pligg 9.9?

sk-rt.com was getting HAMMERED by .cn registrations (over 20,000 since december 10). today we switched over to single-step registration and it seems to have worked great. thanks for such an easy fix. we added one feature to our confirmation "thank you" page: a link to the login page. will be checking here regularly to try to stay a step ahead of these bots. thanks to all of you for all your great coding. |

Sk*rt, I just tried signing up for your site. I purposely didn't confirm my email address and then tried to log in. All it says is that I have the wrong username or password. I haven't tried installing this mod yet, so I don't know if this is normal. If so, this mod needs a way to tell if someone hasn't confirmed their email address and... 1. Remind them to check again. 2. Offers them a chance to have the confirmation message sent again. I run another social networking site and I know that either putting in the wrong email address or not noticing the confirmation message is very common. Most of the time, the user just gets frustrated and leaves. Quote:

Good point. Also add a welcome page when confirming. I added a thank you login link manually but it would be nice to see something here that looks pligg professional!
