Description in every page

Hi i want to put custom description on every category and main pages on my site, i thought i would be able to use the pagename but that is index for the categories.

Example on what i would like
If you go to www.myukdeals.com and i have several categories like products,vouchers,freebies ... for each i want to add a description before the stories. I can use if loop and understand php but the smarty engine confuses me

You should be able to do something like

{if $templatelite.get.category eq "freebies"}
talk about freebies
{elseif $templatelite.get.category eq "vouchers"}
talk about vouchers
{else}
talk about your last category
{/if}

You'll have to do something like that by putting it in index_center.tpl and possibly shakeit_center.tpl

I'm sorry, you'll want to add that code to index_center.tpl and upcoming_center.tpl. If upcoming_center doesn't exists then try shakeit_center.tpl
