Pligg is making a server change sometime over the next few days and this is a heads up for everyone. Shortly before the move we will post an IP address where you can continue to use Pligg uninterupted, but the pligg.com domain will not reflect the site accurately for a short while as the nameservers update. I'm sorry to put you guys through this again, we made a move a little over a month ago and the current host proved not to be a strong enough shared hosting account. Pligg.com was taking up too many CPU cycles. We will now be on a VPS server and if everything goes right we won't have to move again at least for another year.

Once this transfer takes effect we will close the pligg.com forum and point to the new IP address that will work for everyone. Some recent forum posts may be lost during this transfer.

Who is the new host. Since you mention of VPS and I never had noticed any dedicated hosting plans from DreamHost?

We're moving away from DreamHost since they don't offer VPS or Dedicated servers. We will be trying out MidPhase.

once trasferred can we see cpu usage. It'd be nice to see relation between users / bandwidth / CPU usage and memory usage for demo.pligg.com

If possible

It's really a pain to move hosting. VPS always better then reseller or other shared hosting, after tried some reseller hosting from various provider, I picked up VPS and it's serving good, recently though I had some downtime, thanks god, didn't happened any bad.

Hope at least for one year pligg won't have to move again

Best of luck .

I don't think you'll need to worry about it unless your site starts to get more traffic than pligg.com

Also keep in mind we're running vBulletin with an average of 150 active users at any given time.
