Error in config.php upgrading to 9.5

    Hello

Today i'm trying to upgrade to 9.5 from 8.5 (i think) and i'm getting the error (when going to www.site/install/upgrade.php:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get_results() on a non-object in /home/sitedir/pligg/config.php on line 127

I've look for everything i know but no results

This is hosted in dreamhost and i've tried both PHP 4 and 5 to test if the problem goes.

    Can you help me?
    Thanks
    Regards

PS. Sorry by my poor english.

I am assuming that you uploaded all of the new files over your exisiting ones?

    Yes. I followed the readme-update-instructions.

You're using the new config.php not the old one, right?

I'm receiving the same errors. Going from 8.x (can't remember the subversion, not sure where in the code I can find it) to 9.6
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in ***\pligg\config.php on line 127

It's a custom mysql function called get_results and is trying to select stuff out of the db for creating the new tables or something like that.

I don't know how to move forward from here, I would also like some help on this if possible.

Copied and overwrote with new files.
    changed config2.php to settings.php
this is on my localhost in windows so everything is writable.

thanks in advance for any help!
