Thanks so much for this Very useful.

I've also implemented this in the edit pages and it works like a charm.

Yes, I'll second that -- having a text editor like the one I'm using right here in vBulletin, or any sort of WYSIWYG editor, would be tremendous, and it would be great if it could be integrated into the core Pligg code.

The reason it is OUT of pligg code is the reason - not every one would really want it- unless they are a editorial content site. News sites will really look awkward if all users start decorating their submissions.

Also myself and Vinoth are working on to enable image uploads via the editor (so no need of any extra fields - the image will get uploaded and a thumbnail added to the story submission) and for this very purpose we are experimenting on various WYSIWYG scripts and not yet settled with one.

The TinyMCE image upload script requires a license and many would not prefer it - so we are playing with free alternatives. This code was shared just to keep it get improved if any one is really interested and is really simple to use.

Once a better one is integrated - that will make its way into the SVN - till then this will remain a temporary solution for site needing WYSIWYG submissions.

Yes -- the editor should be an option settable from the config

Certainly, any free editor would do the trick.

Yes, it's good to have this available.

Just wondering why my users aren't seeing the icons of the tinyMCE editor I've implemented. Attaching a screen shot of how most of the users see it
Apologies about the sloppy image

Did you copy and upload all files for TinyMCE to the 3rdParty folder? check if they have icons - should you open the same page in IE - it will display the placeholders and rightclick to see the path and verify if the image file is located.
