I'm trying to setup a YUI editor in 1.0.0 (RC2) and started with the original guide for TinyMCE inclusion as a "sort-of" direction. Obviously I'm not getting it to work properly. Any suggestions on how to get a YUI editor into the story submit part 2? That would be most appreciated, thanks.

Hmm, hadn't seen that YUI WYSIWYG before. I might try to make another module to insert it. Right now the problem with any WYSIWYG is that users are able to sneak some malicious code into the html such as <p onmouseover="alert('Visit W3Schools!')">. Once we get that problem resolved with TinyMCE I might look into doing the YUI editor too.
For the most part the 2 WYSIWYGs are very similar, so it shouldn't be difficult to use the TinyMCE module as a starting point if anyone is interested in making a module for the YUI editor.

ok, I'll have a look at the Tiny module. The problem at the moment isn't code-sneaking so much as understanding where the inclusion code for the editor instance should go (and what parts of the code are needed).

The first part is done, which is to call in the editor widget using the YUIloader -- it's a simple script call in pligg.tpl -- but the rest is beyond me at this point. I haven't used Pligg much previously, and certainly not done any moduling before, if that helps.

The code sneaking part is an important thing to work out, but in my case, HTML will be turned off (if I can swing that), so for this particular case it's not so much of an issue.

If you dont have html tags turned on the wysiwyg editor won't be able to insert links, images, paragraph styles, etc. So I think the code sneaking will still be a problem for you.

Anyways, this thread has started to go off topic and is out of date now that we are working on a module to provide the same feature as the original post. I'm closing it, so please open a new thread (in the appropriate forums) if you have a question about an existing module or module idea.
