Can't Vote

This is kinda weird. It seems as if you can't vote on someone else's topic. When you submit your story, you automatically get 1 vote, but when you try to vote on someone else's it doesn't increase. Any ideas?

admin > config > location installed > my_base_url. put a www. in front of it.
