    Question dual language pligg? click a flag to change language maybe?

    I understand there are language packs that can overwrite original files and sql to install pligg in another language.

    Is there a way to setup a dual language pligg site? Maybe people can click a country flag and the website switches into another lauguage.

    I know phpbb has a mod of switch betwen languages with automatic browser language detect, and another with a menu.

    Can something similar be done with pligg? If there has been, i am sorry for double posting; i couldn't seem to find that.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,
    I'm not a programmer, but maybe you will understand my green attempt to solve that problem.
    There are already some lang.conf's available. I put them in the libs directory named lang_de.conf, lang_en.conf ... Than I tried in header.tpl
    {php}
    $lan=$_SERVER['HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE'];
    $lan=substr($lan,0,2);
    if($lan=="de")
    {/php}
    {config_load file="lang_de.conf"}
    {php}
    if($lan!="de")
    {config_load file="lang_en.conf"}
    {/php}
    My success: it does not work.
    But mybe someone can make it work?
    Ciao Helmut

    Check out Pligg Beta 9 - we have it working - but we had to do plenty of modification to get it work - almost 32 files changed.

    Don't forget, there is also the story translator in the downloads section, you might be able to have it to suit your needs. http://forums.pligg.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=40

    Thank you for the link. Absolutely that what I'm looking for (I need just 2 languages) and I use Pligg 9.8, but I wonder, how I can use more that one lang.conf's ?

    I intend to use it, but first I want to figure out, how to use more than one lang.conf, so I will come back later on this.

    Hallo again,
    Well, I had not time to care about that problem, is there meanwhile maybe some one who can use already 2 lang.conf for his pligg site?

    We did use - but it was a detailed modification at many places.

    Hei Dollars5
    How did you made that? Is it quite difficult, is it possible to make a mod out of that, does it works with multiple domains or does it make more sense, to have different installations?
