Thickbox uses jquery, which conflicts with the prototype library. Try this fix:

Applied the fix, still not working though.

3.) Make sure that both the jquery.js and thickbox.js files load BEFORE the scriptaculous effects module.
How do I do that?

You seem to have a hardcoded path to the thickbox.js file in that template, but not jquery. I assume it is loading in the module?

All you want is for the files to appear in the source code, when viewing a page on your site, in the following order:

jquery.js
thickbox.js (with fix applied)
scriptaculous.js (etc)

If it still doesn't work correctly for you, there are other potential fixes provided by the authors of jquery here.

I hardcoded the thickbox.js line in today to see if it would help. Should I take that back out?

Also, I can't find jquery.js anywhere, where is it normally located?

Not sure what I was thinking, I found the jquery one, it was actually right in front of me.

Still not working, and as far as the link you posted goes, thats over my head for sure. I think I will put my pligg.tpl back the way it was.

If I disable thickbox, then everything works again.

Ok, I have made progress. I have thickbox working as well as all other js effects except for one.

The only one not working is when you hover over the story source link, I dont get the popup showing the site.

For those who want to know what I did, when you look at pligg.tpl itdifferent from doing a view source, so I just needed to find where scriptaculous and jquery and thickbox were in the source code, then fiqure out which line of code in pligg.tpl controlled it.

Quote:
{checkForJs}
calls scriptaculous, the line to call sciptaculous isn't called that in your pligg.tpl file. I just put that below this line of code:

Quote:
{checkActionsTpl location="tpl_pligg_pre_title"}
which appears to call the thickbox and jquery scripts.

Ok, sorry about all the posts, but I find if I edit each one, the solutions can get lost.

I moved this line of code:

Quote:
<script src="{$my_pligg_base}/templates/{$the_template}/js/tooltip-v0.1.js{if $enable_gzip_files eq 'true'}.gz{/if}" type="text/javascript"> </script>
to below:

Quote:
{checkForJs}
now the hover effect when your mouse is over the link of the story works again.

I have attached my updated pligg.tpl file so people can see it in full.

Hopefully I won't find anything else broken.

Glad you got it working - the order in which javascript files are loaded does seem to make a difference.

Your right, thanks for the info earlier on, without it I would have been lost.
