Thanks for posting this. I had a similar problem with a black square for a thumbnail, but in my case everything else was working fine. I'm on a shared host, too, and have some of my own funky mod_rewrite configurations to run multiple sites, so I had path errors for the thumbnail.

I'd been struggling with this until I saw this post.

And kudos to cent for a great mod!

I've tried installing and configuring the module three times and I still can't even see an image upload option. I am using Pligg 9.6, yget template and my url is www.inspectorlogic.com.

Any thoughts? I need to get this to work or I'll have to find another solution or a different CMS platform.

Hi... if you're using an earlier version of the Image Upload module, take a look at [MOD] Image Upload Module (v0.93) -- Please test. its version 0.93 of the module which has edit image functions added in and works on Pligg 9.6. It's still in development though I believe most, if not all, of the bugs have been worked out. I encourage you to try it out and provide feedback.

Also in this thread are 2 updates not included in the files which includes adding some code to one of the TPL files and a replacement for the image_upload_main.php file. Please be sure to include both of those updates when using 0.93 of the module.

Is there any way this module can work if I don't specify the width of the thumbnail? I want to the image to resize using the length that I specify and keep the same image ratio. I don't want the image to appear distorted.

When I set:

 define('module_imageupload_thumb_width', '');

it no longer works.

Never mind. I got it to work, by setting module_imageupload_thumb_square to false and module_imageupload_fullsize_maxtoggle to 'h'.

I just can't add a trailing slash at the end of my images dir.
when I add "/", it don't show.
I think that has something to do with .htaccess file.
can someone help me?
