Replace Template Lite?

Any template engine (or lack thereof) will have critics. We currently use Template Lite and I myself am pretty happy with it. I'm looking for suggestions of what to replace Template Lite with and WHY. Please only post if you have worked with the engine that you're recommending and have seen better results / ease of use. No bashing will be allowed (i.e. OMG Smarty suxxors!!!)

The code for Pligg v1.0 has undergone quite a bit of work and at this point is on average 20 times faster, with even more speed with the TemplateLite cache enabled.

This doesn't guarantee replacement, but anything is possible.

Is the v1.0 code open for testing or wouldn´t you recommend to do it at that stage?

not atp v1.0 available for public testing - Ash is doing a great job in getting is lightening fast and sooner it should be available.

2. Sociable ideas based on Wordpress Sociable Plugin
