Problems with submit a large URLs

When they register url very long and with the sign "-" (for example of the blogs, the software of pligg modifies his(her) the url to registering. When it wants to be opened not open

example:

original url:
http://eliax.com/index.php?/archives...poliester.html

pligg url:
http://impulsame.com/out.php?title=L...s_Curiosas---_

have a solution??

Pligg url changed: http://www.impulsame.com/out.php?tit...nsura_de_nuevo

Is one problem about the configuration of caracther UFT8??

use the id instead of the title for linking the story to the origninal url.

The orig url in the second post didn't work at all - maybe the accent marks?
