    My logo submission

hey, figured I wouldn't post in the other thread. this is what i tossed together in 20 min. there's too much I don't like with it to consider it a candidate, but i have to leave from work soon so i thought I would just upload what I had right now.

I like the typeface, but it does not fit the logo, the logo was heavily inspired by Tagawa's submission. I do not like the blue right now, but the orange typeface is too hard to read. there's a few graphical errors on it, but suggestions would be appreciated.

I really like the 3Dness of the top left P logo, but I would like it if you formed the P like tagawa did in this post. This P has a + sign incorporated into the P, which is something I like.

I like the typeface, I think with a little work it can look good, however the logo concept does not fit the text at ALL. I think even a copy of Tagawa's wouldent fit it. I didn not want to copy his, but kinda ran with the idea, seemed like i ran in the wrong direction

at this point, one of the 2 needs to be redone from scratch, if not both.

Trying to expose my graphic design 'skills' for what they really are, huh cryptkeeper?!

Seriously, I like the boldness and clean lines of your logo and introducing non-90 degree angles gives it a nice touch of originality. I agree with Yankidank that incorporating a plus sign in it would be good.

As for colours, I just know that I'm not keen on Pligg's current shade of green (yes, I realise I'm a hypocrite) and don't like too many colours used together, but that's just my taste. In fact, if we're re-doing the css anyway, I think we should decide on a colour chart (either via the Pligg creators or a public poll) to be used for all elements of the site, and then take the logo design from there. We should then take characteristics of the logo (e.g. rounded corners, glossy effect, etc.) and apply them to other graphical elements such as tabs & buttons to create consistency and hence a more professional look.
    All IMHO, of course.

Honestly, the green has to go. I had to change the Pligg CSS on my test box because it was giving me a headache. Thanks to Yank for changing it from the meneame colors, the green is better than what it was....
