Problem with server down

I would like to know with someone with more than 8.000 unique visitor/day and 12.000 pageviews/day have the same problem, server down every day (two or three times).

I have a Pligg site named Linkk (www.linkk.com.br) and I'm using the version 9.5 and template Yget. My pagerank is 5 and alexa 47k. More than 80% visitors came from Google.

My site is hosted in Ferca (same that Meneame.net) and use a dedicated server with pentium IV 3,0 Ghz dual core, 512ram, 160gb disk and 1 tera bandwidth.

I think that the mainly problem is that it receive a lot of visit for search.php?search=XXXXXX and every visit need to search in all BD (50mb).

Anyone have the same problem? Search.php is realy the problem? What I can do?
