Story.tpl and linksummary.tpl mods

You'll see I have adsense on the left of each post. What I would like is to keep the same format but ONLY when a user clicks on the title of the post.

I believe that file is story.tpl and I tired modifying it but don't know how as I don't know any html. Your help would be appreciated.

Same look as it is now - but only when someone clicks on the title (story.tpl)
