    Submitting is slooow

hi. I'm using pligg for internal stories - url required, url show, check are disabled.

everything is smooth until i press "Submit" button. It takes about a minute to complete and get article submitted. What's the reason?

Also, would expired links (10 days) deleted from upcoming or from published links too? Will it be deleted from the DB as well?
    Thanks

I'm testing locally. if you install clean beta 9.6, set:

Require a URL when submitting: false
Show the URL input box: false
    Validate URL: false

and try to post something - there will be delay after you press "submit"

Is the delay always 1 minute?

Is there any delay in running anything else?

no, of course it's approximate. I've disabled (not turned on actually) most modules, so site is pretty fast, except this issue.

ok, I've measured - 45 sec, if it helps. Could it be some script execution time?

every time you submit a url but never finish the submitting process, you end up with a discarded link.
