Content Truncate [bug]

There seems to be a bug with Pligg 9.5 beta...and likely 9.6 as well.

Whenever you into admin -> summary ->

and change the 'content truncate' to a value other then '150'...no change appears to take place for prior and new stories.

All I'm trying to do is take away the summary all together on my published pages but for some reason the task seems a bit elusive.

Any able to fix this bug?

I was having the same issue in 9.7 but managed a work around solution (undoubtedly not the best, but it works).

In link.php in the fill_smarty function I commented out parts to look like this:

if($type == "summary"){
// if($this->link_summary == ""){
$smarty->assign('story_content', $this->truncate_content());
// } else {
// $smarty->assign('story_content', $this->link_summary);
// }
}

leaving just the truncate_content function call.

Then I set the Content Truncate value in the Admin panel to 0 (zero). That did it!

The truncate does not affect existing stories, but should affect new stories.
