I currently have my pligg installation in a /news folder. I have a subdomain called news ready to go, but when I attempt to change the location installed in the settings to the subdomain, the site no longer functions properly. For example, the load times are slower and the template does not work. Any help provided would be appreciated.

In settings.php what does it show as your location also check your Admin > Configure > Location installed setting.

When moving to a new location you need to change settings.php and delete everything inside templates_. Then go into your admin panel > config > location installed and set it again.
