i know that star rating isnt working yet, but i tested it out and voted a couple of times, then i went back to digg voting method and all the numbers were messed up, instead of having been voted on twice, it showed it had 10 votes... and now i cant vote on the stories anymore... javascript doesnt seem to work

Star rating should be working fine and has been working for a few versions now. It works differently than regular voting so you need to pick one or the other. Switching between star and regular shouldn't break any javascript.

No, I think he means that they are 2 different voting systems and you're supposed to pick one and use it.
Not toggle back and forth.

If you upgraded from an older version maybe it never got removed. But that definitely hasn't said "NOTE: THIS IS NOT YET WORKING!!" for a few versions now.

The upgrade process doesn't go through each row in the config table and update it. It only adds any new rows needed.

Actually, I found the exact revision where that text was removed. It was 6 months ago. So 5 star rating has been working for that long.

i didnt know that, cuz when i used star rating and tried to see which one were the most popular stories, it never showed them in the correct order, it actually seemed to show which stories had been voted on most recently then which stories had the best average rating... ill reinstall pligg and see if this is still the case
