Story link in "Tell a Friend" Email

Hi there,

Can anyone help, I have searched around and can't seem to find the answer to this question.

The email that is received when using "tell a friend" has the URL of the story in it. In the emails from my site the URL looks like this if I have URL method 2:

http://www.linka.co.nz/story/210

If I have URL method 1 it looks like this:

-http://www.linka.co.nz/story.php?id=210

The Question???

URL method 2 does not work. The link goes to a blank page. URL method 1 is fine however I cannot leave the site set to URL method 1 or I will lose clean urls.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and is there a fix for this so that I can use URL method 2 and the Tell a friend function works correctly?

If you had enabled URL method 2 - you must also rename htaccess.dafault to .htaccess in your root directory to get it work.
