I currently run a product review site using Pligg, where consumers can post reviews on products (look at my signature). They have the option to add the 'manufacturer' email. I am using extra-field-8 to store this value. I would like to send an automated email to the manufacturer (using info from extra-field-8), telling them that their product was reviewed and including the link to the product review in the email.

Is there a way to re-use/clone the 'Welcome email' mod developed by cent to do this (eg. new email details would be in 'welcome_email_main2.php' and some other minor modifications made to the other files in welcome email module)?

Any other suggestions also welcome. I am not a developer, so cannot create some functionality from scratch but if someone can offer guidance, I could see if I could re-use some already developed pieces.

Aaron... I just PM'd you some info. However, the short story is that it should be relatively simple to put a mod like this together using almost all of the code from the welcome email with small bits from image_upload.
