tbones, please copy the code below and replace the entire code in "categories.tpl"

Categories.tpl is available inside templates>yget>sidebar_modules.

Make sure to make a back up of your original files before you change anything.
Also before testing, close your browser, flush out the entire contents of template_c folder, remove all the cookies in your browser and then open your browser to test.

I would suggest to open a new thread "Category sidebar: drop-down list" with this code otherwise it gets probably lost :-)

-I think PLIGG_Visual_Submit2_Category is redundant because the sidebar headline says the same.
-I would suggest a wider list field (about 3/4 of the category width).
-The links don´t work.

Edit: Could you provide a localization possibility for "all"?
Additionally, just if you want, you can try to colourize the main categories (http://forums.pligg.com/pligg-mods/7...html#post34755)

Does anyone know if the subcategories can display via javascript so that the page doesn't have to refresh? Is this possible? A bit like the login in the header where it drops down after you click login
