URL2 Issues

I have renamed my htaccess.default to .htaccess and have added the following in it:

But my site seems to keep add the current url to the one you are clicking. For example, if you are viewing a story:

sidedish.com
and click on the index page this is what I get - a 404 because it adds index.php onto the end of url



This also happens when I am in a viewing a user profile.

Note - this only seems to happen when clicking on the logo (index.php) to get to the page. Any assistance is appreciated.

Solved this one - the header.tpl looked like this:
<a href="index.php" class="logo"></a>

I addeda a / before index:
<a href="/index.php" class="logo"></a>
