I would like to create static pages, but using the header, sidebar, and footer.

I have searched the forum and I have found this thread: Simple Static Page Support...

But... what I want to do is use an article cms that will generate article pages, so I will need them to just be regular pages, creating all 3 of those pages will not work as this script will be just inserting the article through PHP on a page.

Basically, is there a way to just create a blank page and call the header at least... sidebar and footer wouldn't be completely necessary... I just need to basically have an article index page, and then individual article pages, so in order to use this CMS I need the page as simple as possible.

I am going to be experimenting myself with this today, but any help would be very very appreciated, as I am not so great at hacking code myself.

Thanks in advance!
David

Take a look at this and see if it is what you need.

Hey Ash, thanks for all the help on this and everything else, I love this script... as soon as I can afford it a phat donation is on it's way.

Anyway, I am trying to use http://www.gentlesource.com/news-script/ To add static articles.

I am hoping that I can do that, but I am worried that this script will create the pages, and that won't work if I need to make two files for each article. I am about to try it though, so I am not 100% sure how it works. If it is a php include it might be fine...

We will see shortly.
