I´ve activated the embed_videos module and added the HTML tags at the Configure-Submit section of Admin. All works fine expect for the views of upcoming and submitted. The tags of the video sites are invisible but not the Video-ID.

Can it be fixed easily?

Furthermore I´m having a closed user group that wants to add material from national video sites out of the list. I don´t see any security risk in this setting so I´d like to allow <object>, <param> and <embed> tags. What do I have to change?

I would read the discussions here in the forums first before allowing the use of those tags - I do believe that they do pose a security risk.

To answer your question, I believe you add these tags the same place you would have added the video tags - Admin --> configure Pligg --> Submit --> HTML tags to allow.

Hope this helps...

Technically seen it´s still a risk, I agree. Legally, those users are part of the company so they are fully liable for the content they submit.

I did it already and the result is the same as with the Video-ID at upcoming: the string between the tags is displayed rather than the video. Thx anyway.

Ups! The other way: The Video-ID is visible but nothing else. This seems to be an exclusive <youtube> problem since it works fine with <googlevideo> and <myspace>.

I'm not able to duplicate this problem. Do you have a link to an example site?

The problem has (partially) been solved via PM:
The video tag (discoverd that it´s unrelated to any service) is half inside the preview character limit and half outside so the starting tag will be ignored and the first half of the Video-ID will be displayed.
