What we did is hacked it to work with recent version of WordPress, as well as WordPressMU.

I am very interested and willing to back it up with $$, I just need to know how the progress it coming along, and how will it deal with the release of wordpress 2.5, that is coming up in a couple of weeks, I assume WPmu will also be updated.

I'm mostly interested in the Pligg + WPmu compatibility. (not so much the forum)

Don't know if it's to late, but here are things that should be cross platform.

-Global registration.
-Global commenting (same nickname on comments on blog and pligg)
-Pligg submissions + blog posts (each submission becomes a short blog post with a link) This way, the headline in the pligg site takes reader to the user's blog, and from there to the story, that way, the user also gets some visitors.
-Pligg should remain as the main global CMS, indexing all blog posts and pligg submissions for visitors on the index page.
-Perhaps a Pligg seniority rank, I mean, a user whose articles have been pligged the most times gets the most attention to his blog, this will also have users competing for the best spots. Could be interesting.

We managed to integrate Pligg 9.9.0 into WordpressMU 1.3.2. As for the forum, BBPress (from makers of Wordpress) integrates with WordpressMU without any problem. If someone's interested, PM me.

We can do WordPress integration also.

I would prefer this with latest wp v2.5 [not wp MU] and latest pligg version and latest bbpress release.
