I know we have import RSS mod in Pligg. I wonder can we elaborate on this mod somehow in the future by this idea. Is there a way for users and members submit rss feeds to the mod and the mod then automatically add the new rss feeds into the import rss lists and then from the cron job automatically update the feeds to Pligg?

Sounds like you could be opening up your site to a whole new hell of spam. RSS spam, which could create hundreds or thousands of entries that you might not want.

yes, your're right, but the "god" still can control the spam.

if the user member can submit rss feeds, that will be good way to create "digg culture" on your site

I just want a mod to allow members to submit there RSS feeds, then I can add them to the auto importer mod.

How do we install this if we already have Pligg up and running?

I'm having a different problem: rss import doesn't seem to be working for me.

I'm running beta 9.8, and I installed the RSS importer module with no errors. But after I configure a few feeds and click 'import', I click each of the "run anyway' links. I get two different behaviours, depending on the feed:

(1) Message: Feed not fully setup, skipping

(2) Goes to some URL with 'override' at the end, but i get a blank page.

In either case, I get no new items on neither the home page nor the upcoming page.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Did you setup the fields? They have to be added at the bottom of the feed settings. (the drop down boxes)

Here is a tutorial for the rss mod RSS Tutorial

Thanks for the response. There's a "Add a new field link" link at the bottom of each feed configure block. But it's not clear to me what I'm supposed to do with that. Maybe I need to scour the wiki a bit more. Sorry for being such a Pligg noob.
