[SOLVED] Moved to a new host, getting error :(
I moved to a new host and after uploading my files, I'm getting the following error.
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I google'd around and I found the following.
Search your conf/httpd.conf file for this exact string: <Files ~>. If you find it, that's your problem -- that particular <Files> container is malformed. Delete it or replace it with <Files ~ "^\.ht"> and restart your server and things should work as expected.
This error appears to be caused by a problem with the version of linuxconf distributed with Redhat 6.x. It may reappear if you use linuxconf again.
I don't see any conf/httpd.conf file. Can somebody please help?

probably you are on a shared server, and you do not have access to httpd.conf (it's an important file).
Ask your technical support, and check your .htaccess file

Thanks sixlaneve. Sounds dumb, but what do i need to look for in the .htaccess file?

Are you using URL Method 2? Does your server have mod_rewrite installed.

I'm using URL Method 1. Yes the server has mod_rewrite installed.

Did you put the correct information in the settings.php and libs/dbconnect.php files?
