I just finished templating a pligg site, and I'm testing out the submissions and such.

I've noticed some issues with information, posts, and pages not being updated correctly.

An example would be when a logged in user logs out, but it returns them to a page showing that they are logged in. After refreshing once or twice, it will then show (correctly) that they are logged out. Or, you log out, and return to a page you visited when logged in, and the content still presents as if you were logged in.

Another example would be the upcoming pages. You may submit several new stories, but on visiting the upcoming page, those stories will not appear without a refresh.

Any ideas?

I tried my local install, and didn't have the problem, so i switched hosts, seems o have gone away - atleast for now.

I suggest trying http://hostgator.com, I've got a pligg site running on them without any problems yet. I'd have used them for this, but I found a site sponsor

i have the problem on my local host as well
i tried disabling cash by define('caching', 0); in cofig file, deleteing the templates_c files, restaring mysql and apache, then clearing cookies and private objects on firefox, it seems to be okay now... on 9.6
i was thinking maybe because while deploying our themes, we get to test some parts and play around with the original code it creates contradicting data, and i maybe a caching problem as well

Dunno, but I don't have the problem on my new host. Might have been a problem with the install, but either way it's fixed for me.

Bump.

Does anyone have any idea why this is? I have spent a long time attempting to rectify this for the client but it still isn't usuable.

Thanks.

I'm experiencing this problem as well... I believe it started when I switched hosts so it must have something to do with hosting configuration.
