We have been almost 1 year now for CMS design services on Pligg, vBulletin & WordPress.

We have found out that there's great demand for Pligg Templates, but there are only few free Pligg templates that are available. And some Pligg owners cannot afford to hire a Pligg designer because of it's high price - we too charge high fees for a custom Pligg template but it's worth the money. And it's also a fact that there's only a few people who develop Pligg templates.

Due to this, we would like to create a free BUT unique & high-quality Pligg template that would be available for everyone to use. With this free template, we would also like to support whenever a new version of Pligg will come out.

However, we would also like to ask for your contribution in the form of financial assistance. This work involves a lot of work and your help will be greatly appreciated. 1.Pligg
2.Wordpress
3.vBulletin
but our target start date to create will be on the last week of September.

Btw, our latest Pligg design can be previewed at CattleNow - sorry if it hurts your eyes but I'm limited to colors + adsense placement. It's not the final design yet since it's not approved. Any comments will be appreciated.

My small advise, never have any contributions list empty at $0.00 - start with atleast $10.00 that others will start contributing, "no one wishes to add a money before others" - I remember reading this as a story at Digg.com where the article discussed on how to raise more money with donations and such meters (this was at teh time when Wikipedia started their donation drive) - also try to get some sponsors (esp webhosts), that is more fast way to meet donation target.

cmstheme, what are your thoughts on offering these free templates with your adsense id included? See thread http://forums.pligg.com/pligg-templa...evelopers.html for more context.

Would be good to hear if this would make sense for template developers. Will this allow you to offer more "free" templates?

doubt anyone will donate, not trying to be nasty..

it can cost up to 150$ for a customer pligg design..

1500$ is abit high.

what you should have done, and any cleaver person would have done, is released a skin/theme first.. you can ask for donations later for future skins/themes...

also i don't see any previews or anything you done in the past..

so to me, your speaking crap just trying to earn free money..
