    "Unlinkable" site?

    Hello,

I recently installed Pligg 9.8 to manage my website, the clicker.org. I haven't had any problems posting a link until I tried to link to this story:
Top Ten Things to Build a Bridge and Get Over
. Every time I try to submit this link, it takes a long time for the page to load and when it finally does load, the Submit page becomes completely blank! I press the browser's Back button and it's back to the way the Submit page looks upon initial access, nothing's populated in the URL box except the default "http://".

Might anyone know why I can't publish this link? It's not like that article is the most important must-link article I've ever read, but I can't figure out why other websites' links process fine and this one's does not.

    Thanks for your help!

    k.

    Hi kompressaur,

I still haven't found a fix for it. I'm still unable to link to that particular site!

What URL is giving you trouble, if you don't mind sharing?

    k.

Try this.. Go into admin> configure> submit> URL Validation and set it to false. Then try resubmitting the URL.

Thanks chuckroast - it worked! Because I like the URL validation feature overall. I re-enabled it after posting the article with the previously "unlinkable" site. It would be nice if I could've just linked to the site without having to do the workaround, but it'll do for now.

kompressaur, no worries about taking over my thread. I'm glad it wasn't just me having the linking issues. I haven't tried to view my site in IE7, but I might try that. The computer I'm using is super-sluggish so I try to only give it a few instructions at a time.
