Just wondering... does anyone have LDAP working with v1.0?

the vast ammount of how-to's and clear instructions astounds me. We have one person that makes a half-ass attempt at providing a mod with little instructions or clear understanding of how to implement it. Oh, and neglects to include an essential file for installation...! And oh goodie -- this is the only LDAP module on the pligg site we have, so have fun trying to get it working! |

Windbreaker11 you've made 2 posts so far, and both have been very negative. If you can't add anything positive or constructive to the community I suggest you go elsewhere. I also suggest you look a little closer. There is a ldap module in the svn. |

I know that the LDAP module in the SVN should work for the most part. Several months ago I was in contact with a representative from Mars Inc (the candy company), who were setting up the LDAP module on their internal network Pligg setup. I don't have any experience working with it myself, so I can't offer much advice beyond the note that it should work or at least get you most of the way there. The Twitter Module for Pligg CMS! I'm having trouble with the LDAP module in svn. Here's what I've done: * Created an ldap folder inside of my modules folder, added the four ldap_ files and given them permission such that Apache can read them. * Modified ldap_settings.php to include our ActiveDirectory settings * Modified the LDAPDomain session variable in ldap_main.php to include my domain * Selected install from the "Uninstalled Modules" link in the module menu, which moves it to the Installed Modules list. When I then click on the module in the Installed Modules list, I get a page that appears to be missing some information. There is no settings button next to the module in the list. * I'm not seeing anything telling in my apache logs I wonder if I'm missing something fundamental here. I'm not a PHP expert. Do I need PHP with LDAP integration? If yes, how do I check to see if that's enabled? LDAP integration is what is blocking our studio from deploying this to satisfy a huge feedback need in our production pipeline. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I'm in the exact same boat. Would love some guidance from someone that has been able to get the LDAP module from SVN working. The documentation leaves much to be desired (maybe I'll document the process while I'm at it). Thanks in advance. |

As I mentioned in my last post on this thread, I don't have much experience with this module. I think that the module is not being used by many people, and the people who are using it have enough technical knowledge of LDAP authentication that they haven't needed much input on the forums and made changes on their own.
