I've installed pligg 9.6 on several domains with no problems.

Now, while trying to install on a new domain (same server) I get this error during installation:

Database connection established...

Error: Connected to the database, but the database name is incorrect.

I have double, triple and quadruple checked database name, username, userpw, hostname.

The user has ALL permission to the correct database.

I have tried this with BOTH 9.6 and 9.7 with same results.

Pligg successfully created 19 tables in the database!!!

What could be going wrong?!

I erased all database and dbuser info and re-created all of it. Seems to have solved the problem installing 9.6 (still not sure what is was).

Did you face this while upgrading Pligg?

If so, you are required to run upgrade.php before installation.
