Hi, I've just setup my pligg site pinolinks.com , but one problem I found is that anyone could register multiple times without a care of what email they put in there, it will always get accepted without verification to their email address. I've searched through the admin pages but could'nt find anything for turning it on.... can anyone help please?  |

have the same question ... what should i do with the validation.php ... where should i type in my db-settings .. would be great if someone helps me because i m going mad with that spammers ;-)

You dug up a thread that is 2 years old. Pligg now has a built in email validation feature. We also recommend that when version 1.0.2 comes out you update to that version and upgrade your Captcha module. The upcoming release's captcha module will allow you to require a captcha be filled out whenever someone comments on or submits a story.

@Yankidank - How do we use this? I can't find it anywhere am I'm not getting verification emails when registering users.

Found it - for anyone that is as blind as me, go admin panel > configure > misc and its down near the bottom

Hi , all i'm using 1.1.4 vs and i found same any one can register irrrespective of what mail id given by user. even tried admin panel > configure > misc and still its not working for me. after registration its directly taking user to userpanel . Any suggestion .... |
