Just installed a new 7.2 version of Pligg at http://www.celebsnoop.com/snoopit in a clean database on a DreamHost server.

The changes I made before install were these:
define('my_base_url', 'http://www.celebsnoop.com'); // the base url to your site.
define('my_pligg_base', '/snoopit'); // if installed in a subfolder. leave blank if installed in root.

Stories only need 1 vote to get to the front page.

A few things:

1) I could not get any of the links to work in the menus. They only work now after I switched to the original method of URL method, not method 2:

// URL Method
// change both lines below
$URLMethod = 1;
define('urlmethod', $URLMethod);
//1 = original method -- 2 = /story/25/ method.

****It says change both lines - but what do you do on the 2nd line?******

2) Click login and it takes you to this page: http://www.celebsnoop.com/snoopit/lo...turn=/snoopit/

After filling in your details and hitting login it goes to a 404 in IE and http://www.celebsnoop.com/snoopit//snoopit/shakeit.php in Firefox. But you're still actually logged in and can submit, vote etc. This must be a problem with it being in a directory?

3) When pligging for stories, its fine in Firefox, yet in IE the menus appear halfway down the screen and stretches the screen to the right.

4)Clicking tell a friend on an actual story page causes the screen in Firefox to stretch to the right, in particular the Comments box. Seems fine in IE.

5)Are there supposed to be no left and right menus on the sneak/spy page?

That's all I can find so far. A few seem to be simple template issues while the login is probably a simple directory fix, but I might not be the only one with issues! Thanks in advance!

On my test server I went back for B7R51 (from 2 months ago) and I still see that problem, so I'm not really sure when it began, but I'll see what I can find out.

Most of the problem seem to be subfolder releated.

To get URLMethod2 working, try opening your .htaccess file and find this line..

RewriteBase /

And in your case, replace it with

RewriteBase /snoopit

Even with this little fix there is still the login issue, with both URLMethod1 and 2.

I'm not sure but you may be interested to know that Dreamhose doesn't allow the use of Allow url fopen. See this: http://wiki.dreamhost.com/index.php/...llow_url_fopen

Can you get the login feature to work and is it installed in a subdirectory?

The demo site's RSS feed generates the following error.

Safari can’t open the page “feed://www.pligg.com/rss2.php”. The error was: “unknown error” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1) Please choose Report Bug to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.
