I'm a very newbie. Just dl pligg 9.8 for the first time. Uploaded it to MyEQL database. When I go to install I get 3 errors on step 1.

Error: '../libs/dbconnect.php' was not found! Try renaming 'dbconnect.php.default' to 'dbconnect.php' or create a new one.

Error: '../templates_c' was not found! Create a directory called templates_c in your root directory.

Error: '../cache' was not found! Create a directory called cache in your root directory.

I don't know why I got the first one because I followed the install instructions and renamed it without the "default" just like it told me too.

Secondly I noticed that my templates_c folder was empty, why is it empty?

And so was my cach folder?

Did you chmod all the files and folders like stated on the install instructions?
Template_c and cache is used by pligg to store temporary data in. It should be empty on first install.

I did not see anything instructing me to "chmod" any files in Pligg;s home page, under FAQ, "how to install Pligg?"

I don't even now what chmod is...and how to chmod my files?
