hello guys,

i currently run php-nuke on my website and i have had 3 hacking attempts in the last month.

i am currently looking for a differnt CMS for a new project im working. thus i found you guys.

what i would like to know is what kind of security does pligg have?/

which is the most stable version.

as anybody been hacked? did they succeed.

Please be aware that Pligg is in its very early stages of development. There are bound to be security bugs in this code. This should not be considered a hardend app.

so its not a reliable choice yet.

the project im currently working on will be a big one hence im looking for a bit more stability and style.

oh by the way you couldnt point me the way to aexcellent CMS thats worth trying out??

I use Postnuke and was hacked once before. The solution that seemed to work for me, (not a solution but a BIG help) was to remove the version number from your site. I found that hackers find a vulnerabilty in a particular version, then do a google search (or whatever search they use) for that version and find sites to hack. If your site was using phpnuke, do a google for that tag thats always at the bottom of your site PHPnuke v7.0 or whatever it is, and you'll find a few sites hacked by the same group. I did it, and found a bunch hacked by the same guys that hacked me. Since I've removed it from my site, I've been untouched, (knock on wood).
