I'm doing a fresh install of .98 on GoDaddy. (Just switched my hosting there.)

-------------------------

Here is the info listed under hosting control center:

Status:Setup

Host Name41mysql3.secureserver.net

Database Name:gtgnews

Database Version:4.1

Description:GoTechGo News

User Name:gtgnews

---------------

Message:
Step 2:

Error: Cannot connect to the database server using the information provided.

---------------

Anyway, for the life of me, I can't get the install settings correct.

Database Name: gtgnews
Database Username: gtgnews
Database Password: ***********
Database Server: localhost
Table Prefix: pligg_
(ie: "pligg_" makes the tables for users become pligg_users)

What did other godaddy-hosted sites accept for the database server? Could someone post a link to where in that muddled mess of a website I could find the proper settings?

Also, could anything be used as the table-prefix?

Thanks in advance...

Sweetness! Thanks chuck. That worked like a charm.

So for anyone having problems setting up pligg with a godaddy.com hosting account...(and is a moron like me)

host name (from godaddy control center info) = database server (on pligg installer)

I did what you said, now I have:

DB name: music
user: music
pass: *****
DB server: p41mysql72.secureserver.net
table prefix: pligg_

but still get the same error. Could it be because of permissions?
I didn't see an option for changing permission in godaddy.com
I also tried FileZilla, but it didn't work out either.

I really appreciate if someone can helm me out.
