Will going from 9.8.0 to 9.8.2 kill my modifications? I have changed the favicon.ico, the default avatars, and tons of changes to the CSS.

Now of course I can flip the graphic stuff in a few seconds, so I'm not too worried about that as much as I am the CSS. I have put a couple hundred hours into getting it just right. So will keeping that the same mess anything up?

I have never done an upgrade before. Just that first installation. So sorry if my question is annoying. I'm a noob!

Anyone? What files have changed in this new version? I have changed the CSS, header.tpl, and several images to make my site work the way I need. So I want to know if I have to upload the "new" versions for the update to work?

Will I mess anything up by not uploading these parts in an upgrade? Will I miss out on any great new development you people have given us with this upgrade?

Just make sure you back up everything first. All files and database.. Then install the new files, run upgrade.php Afterwards copy your template back over and your done.

To see whats been changed you can always follow the LOG
SourceForge.net Repository - [pligg] Log of /branches/9.x

9.0 to 9.8 looks like revisions 977 through 1295
Yep thats 318 different changes.

Thanks Chuck. Didn't know about that specific SourceForge page. So clicking on the numbers there is where I find out what specific files where changed.

Can I safely assume that everything between "Updated 9.7 to 9.8." to "Update to 9.8.2." is all I should worry about with this update?
