Hi all,

Fisrt, i would like to thanks all the community for its work on this open source system, and excuse me for my bad english (i'm french ).

I have 2 quaestions (sorry, i'm quite noob on pligg) :

- I have a website, using a vbulletin forum.
I would like to install Pligg to remplace my home page (a joomla CMS at the moment) but i have seen that pligg is using a forum...

How could i install plig, and use my actual users for pilgg? Is there a bridge for using the same account for Vbulletin and pligg ? Does people will have to register twice?

- Is it possible to add automaticly some websites RSS ?
If my community is too small to add at the beginning some URL, could i choose 5 or 7 RSS websites to be automatically added to the pligg stories of my website? (to be sure that there is some news on my home, without having to wait that people submit them) ?

Thanks a lot for your answers!
François

Question 1
I have been trying to figure out the best way to bridge users between Pligg and vBulletin for the past month, but have yet to find an answer. I was able to get an older version of vbulletin to integrate using Simon's vBulletin Integration download, but that doesn't seem to work anymore. I am willing to pay for a well-designed solution for integrating vbulletin users with Pligg users, so let me know if you find a developer with the skills needed.

I started a odesk.com job to help find a developer at:
Job Openings: vBulletin / Pligg User Integration - (356411) - oDesk

Question 2

Did you find a developer at oDesk? I'm interested in this particular mod and I'm wondering if oDesk has many vBulletin developers. I've had no luck with a recent project on Scriptlance.

I wasn't able to find any vBulletin designers qualified through oDesk. If anyone is able to find a proven developer with experience with vBulletin let me know.

this is exactly what I wrote in a PM on other forums just in the last 20mins

getting coders for vB can be a little more difficult .. all say they can do it but certainly not all can

I am so so weary of coders by now

I've tried Simon's files as well and they do work mostly. I can register an account on the forum and it passes the sql to the pligg database. But for whatever reason I am unable to login to any accounts including the god account via pligg. It appears that the user_pass sql field under pligg_users is not being populated. I'm going to try and study the code over the holidays but I'm not a pro or anything so don't expect much.
