Special character problems in RSS and mail subject
I am using Pligg 9.9.0, and have two different problems, one with RSS and one with the mail from the Tell a friend-function.
RSS-problem:
Special characters in the subject in all the RSS-feeds is removed. My site is in norwegian, and we use æ, ø and å.
Example for a story title: Testæ testø testå
This title becomes like this in the RSS subject: Test test test
But the characters displays nicely in the content of the RSS, its only the subject that have this problem.
I have not been able to find out how to fix this. Anybody know whats wrong?
Tell a friend mail problem:
When sending a tips from the Tell a friend-form, the subject of the mail don't display special characters properly.
Example of subject: Title test with å
The mails subject becomes like this: Title test with å
What could be wrong? All the special characters displays nicely in the rest of my site, its only in RSS and mail subject i have problems (two different problems).
I am sure this must be a bug.

If I remember right the RSS code is removing those characters. You can edit the code to remove that.

Did anybody find a solution for the special characters in the sent mails. I am searching for a solution for the last few days but I couldn't.

Here is what I did: http://forums.pligg.com/bug-report/1...8-problem.html (obviously only useful with a latin letter base)

Same problem here. Well, it's slightly different because for me the subject of the email displays nicely but the special characters don't display well in the story summary.
