By trade, I'm in Product Management (wish I could code but at best I'm a 'hacker' only in golf ). I was actually thinking of implementing Pligg as a feature request system to allow the community (in my case customers, sales people, SEs, engineers, etc...) to vote for feature requests.

There are always "God" features - if a customer is coughing up cash it tends to pump it up the priority list. But Pligg seems like a natural for getting the community to just vote on the list...

Just a thought...

Thx. been running prd mgt for startups for a decade now. applying tech to real problems is what I do. this is cool stuff. I can't code but I know plenty of coders so if I come up with something I'll try to contribute what I can. Kudos to you all...

We do take user interest into consideration when planning for new features, but right now the developers are in control on what should be developed. We are glad to listen to your suggestions, but we have a list of priorities that need to be taken care of first to build a better foundation. The developers have their own sub-forum to pitch ideas and vote on them in a democratic way to help weed out what is a necessity and what can be added on later. I think it's a great idea to use the Pligg demo area (http://demo.pligg.com) for suggestions, but if it's done that way you need to offer detailed explanations. I've seen this idea done before from when Pligg was first released when the Meedio site created a suggestion area for their software.
