I need to get access to extra fields information in the pligg.tpl file, but can't work out how to do that yet.

I am trying to use the information in the page headers, so I want to be able to reference {$link_field6} within pligg.tpl. At the moment I am getting nothing when I use it.

Any ideas please?

I have tried adding the following, but it doesn't work:

{if $pagename eq "story"}
 {php}
	Global $db, $main_smarty, $link;
 {/php}
{/if}
