I am having an issue with that, I can't seem to find the cause, it just started doing that today.

I now notice that when I click on a story title, where it shows the number of clicks turns to NaN and the click count doesn't increase.

I just went through the install again and still not working.

What does NaN stand for?

I will use this Pligg-Option "Use story title as link --> false" but in this case the clicks will not be count with your code. Whats the right way to make it possible?

i've got an alternate implementation of this on my site -- it does not involve mod'ing or extending your dB tables. that changes happen across a few smarty and php files.


(implemented this on v.9.8.2).

the mod involves a few lines across 3-5 files...i can't remember b/c I haven't looked at it in a few weeks.

it's not perfect yet -- if you try it out you'll see what I mean. it displays the number of clicks on a story, but when you go view the story, the totals always read 0; however, on the listing pages, the correct clicks are always shown.

it' s not fatal nor is it critical -- though I would like to get it working properly.

I am a serious newb with PHP -- a few weeks old in this domain--i'm more of a java jockey--in any case, I know for a fact that the fix for the stories's view count showing 0 is probably a trivial bug that could be patched with the right person looking over my shoulder.

If anyone is interested in help me iron this out -- let me know. also, downloads could also be tracked using analogous logic -- i plan to throw that in also, but first thing is first.

You will have to customize link (story) page, probably in story_center.tpl instead of link_summary.tpl
