This makes me ill. I'm not even one of the developers and I feel personally violated.
I've only been here for a short while, but I certainly feel the energy and passion within the community. We all help out one way or another to make this project or each other's websites better everyday, and then this scum-of-the-earth blatantly rips it all off and tries to claim it as his own.
Also, in response to the "Powered by Pligg." How about powered by phpbb? Is he going to sue all of these guys too?

Having followed this episode for the last day or so, it appears to me that Pligg and Pligg's developers have very little to worry about. I'm no expert but I'd hazard a guess that if Pligg goes about this the right way, the ludicrous, inaccurate and plain malicious nature of Phelps' copyright claim will ensure nothing comes of it except maybe to make Phelps himself look stupider than he already does. He's well on his way to becoming an Internet pariah. Good old Digg. |

Wow, the stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me. I have a feeling that they were hoping to settle out of court for less then a lawyer would cost pligg. Wow they can't even come up with their own legal strategy, sounds like something the RIAA/MPAA does. |

"Powered By" as seen in the Google search has been used a lot by a lot of groups for a long time - the waybackmachine is good for this. I remember Apache and FreeBSD using a "powered by" logo. Apache has a wayback of Oct 1996 - FreeBS's' is Nov 1996 so Apache wins so far. Apache - Oct 1996 http://web.archive.org/web/199610281...ww.apache.org/ I wonder if their was an earlier one. WayBack only goes back to 1996. - It looks like www.supergu.com is password protected right now. It wasn't earlier today... I wonder what's going on there... - Jason |

I remember when I first started using pligg for my site (back in June last year) 3DKiller was really active in the Pligg community. I drifted away for a while, came back and found out he had cut his ties with Pligg and gone his "own" way... It's a shame he's come to this.

wtf? Sorry for my extreme reaction. By the way it's confirm that Supergu.com is now password protected, and also its other tld names such as .org and .net. I really want to know what's supergu next move so I can laugh at. Something to be excite about eh? |

Hang in there Yankidank, AshDigg and the rest of you. You do a lot of good ! |

The supergu are very dodgy. and although they deny any affiliation, they were forwarding to blinkk.org for a while. The blinkk folk had a "make a donation @ $50 per hour" to our project for us to release the code. I have the emails from them if anyone is keen. And yes, they do admit that the "Blinkk Engine" as they call it, is open source. |

The bad is a lot time and energy are wasted and will a lot more just because of this 'OWNER'. No need to worried, enough evidence now you have, and a lot here with you, if you think you should need a fund, open a 'donation' for this...
