simple back up solution for a pligg site? backupmyblog.com compatible?

this is a nifty little remote backup tool: backupmyblog

it works with any mysql blog (eg wordpress) - but would it also work with with a pligg site?

alternatively, has anybody worked on a simple one-step backup tool for the growing number of pligg sites out there?

I have a backup and restore tool almost complete for files + database. I'm just working out a couple small bugs.

very cool...i think this is a critical feature/utility for most users - wordpress had huge positive feedback with their simple onestep backup, particularly because most folks don't know which tables to back up in their mysql stores...

Awesome Ash, pliggers would definitely love this tool especially with each revision and upgrade thats done.

btw, on a separate subject, I installed the 138 nightly version and Im getting a looping link on the story.php, ie when clicking on the story title link, it goes to a story.php with the comment box page, and then clicking on that story link again, it loops back to itself, story.php. ie, it does not link to the originating story url.--is this a bug or normal behavior?

thanks.

If you just want to back up your Pligg MySQL files, have a look at this:

8 MySQL Backup Strategies for WordPress Bloggers (And Others)

You can use the script in Strategy #7 to set up cron to automatically back up your site and email it to you, which is safer than leaving the backup on your server.
