I'm looking for ideas on how this should look. Anyone have any? Whip up some quick examples if you can (html or photoshop).

Basically, you should use CSS to make some nice tables first, for the comments itself. If you do not have any idea, here's a nice example of how you could make the comments look better:

And for the quoting, just a simple table should be enough, no rounded corners, etc. A bit like here on the forums:

This should look as simple as this, it's nice and clean.

Anyway, you could make it even better, by for example allowing to use smilies in comments. And perhaps links. Or even an edit button. Those are some ideas I have in mind.

Btw, did you notice? The TOP STORIES page is messed up.
