digg clones in trouble?

Sites that serve the same purpose cannot do this to each other. As said on the site, Slashdot could do it to digg.

And if we take it further, ok, they use different algorythimics and whatever, but how many web searchers have appeared before Google?

The Digg guy should be ashamed of himself.

meh going after one site doesnt constitue mass-spread panic for all pligg sites, and i'd rather like to see them go after all pligg sites. will be an interesting uphill battle.

I think this is more a case of the "brand" than the idea.

Digg is clamping down on sites using the "DIGG" name, not the software based idea's. The site metioned in the story has changed their name and that should see the end if of it.
