Subcategories please

I noticed from reading this installation guide for menéame, that it is capable of using subcategories:

Using phpMyAdmin to add some categories the categories table. Categories must have a value of 1 or more. If you want to create sub-categories, put the category_id of the parent as the category_parent value of the sub-category.

Since Pligg is based on menéame - and I wanted subcategories - it was only natural to try this method. I had no problem with adding them via phpMyAdmin, but they don't show on any template that I've tried with beta 7.

Is there a way to get them enabled? Or could they please come with the next beta?

sub-categories will be implemented into future releases of pligg. I'm pretty sure Ash has been working on them recently.
